A.k.a. David Palmer Sky Flying By
Dave Palmer is a musician who began his music career in upstate New York, playing in the emotional hardcore band Oversight in the early 1990's. From this sprouted a relationship with Conquer the World Records, who released Oversight's second recording session on a 7" vinyl. Dave went on to design many cover arts for Conquer the World Records in the early to mid-1990's. Dave also founded his own imprint, Upstate Records, which released the Oversight demo as well as other emotional hardcore bands from the Syracuse region, including the pre-Earth Crisis band Framework (5). Through out the late 1980's and 1990's, Dave also created and printed a series of fanzines, including Empty Words, Upstate Zine and Minusone and Enoctum. After relocating to Massachusetts in the mid-1990's he played drums in the indie rock band Autumn Leaf Dance and in 2002 he started his solo ambient/post-rock project Sky Flying By which is still active to this day.
