David's weapons of choice, be it raw and scrunchy House & Techno from back in the early days, deeper and minimalistic contemporary productions or acidic basslines, always serve the same purpose: break loose, boil up the heat, dissolve the boundaries of daily grind. Onwards together. The party is us! David's musical heart started pounding very early in life. Playing instruments like guitar, piano and percussions went hand in hand with his interest in Rock and Metal, which later extended to the magic of rhythmic reduction of hiphop. The 808 sounded like a new era. The fascination for early UK breakbeat and house resulted in his ever growing interest in futuristic soundscapes. The next step was inevitable: techno. In order to make this sound accessible to others in his homelands, he turned from a mere recipient into an active agent of electronic club culture. As promoter and dj at the infamous clubnight „Technotix“ he became a formative power for techno in the border area of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. When he decided to move to Berlin, his personal vision of techno developed even further by diving deeper into urban club culture. To this day, the club still is the central place for community and communality for David. At his return to Aachen, David encountered a revived technoscene: Transition was born and represents everything which lies at the heart of his definition of techno and house. What belongs together was brought together: since 2010, David is part and parcel of the Transition family. As a sideproject, David is part of the duo Randweg - experimenting with sounds from the clarinet played by Andi Ernst, supporting him on guitar and cajon. In April 2013, the album 'Equisetales' was released and brought to the livestage in the months to come. Visit www.facebook.com/randwegmusik for more information about the project.
