David Chesworth (born 1958, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom) is an Australian-based composer, keyboard player, and installation artist. He has worked in the post punk band Essendon Airport, classical ensembles, theatre, opera, sound installations, etc.. From 1978 until 1982 Chesworth coordinated the Clifton Hill Community Music Centre in Melbourne, a centre for experimental music, performance, film and video. He also collaborates with audio/visual artist Sonia Leber (with whom he runs the company Wax Sound Media) In 1993 he formed The David Chesworth Ensemble to perform his own works.
