South Australian Conductor and Flautist (1934-1997) Professor David Cubbin taught at the Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide and was a leading figure in the Flute Society of South Australia. He was an author of many theory books and articles and was also appointed professor and director of the Tasmanian Conservatorium. The David Cubbin Memorial Fund was established in 1997 to honour the distinguished Australian flautist.
