Album US 2009 on Blue Chopsticks label
Classical and Soundtrack (Soundtrack, Contemporary)
Recorded at the Seaside Lounge, Brooklyn, August 2008 Mastered at Salt Mastering © Gastr Virgo Music (BMI), administred in Europe by Rough Trade, Ltd. "Hybrid Song Box.4" is Angela Bulloch's most recent work in a series of "Pixel Box" sculptural installations, and was first shown at the Solomno R. Guggenheim Museum as part of the exhibition 'Theanyspacewhatever'. A live version was performed in the Guggenheim's Peter B. Lewis Theater on January 5 and 6, 2009. The soundtrack to "Hybrid Song Box.4" is based on a short piece for electric guitar, followed by a interstitial section created with feedback from the last note of the guitar piece. The process repeats twice more; the first composition wanes, the second waxes. 26' soundtrack, stereo sound system, waxed birchwood with holes, printed aluminium panels, RGB-lighting systems, animated program, control gear, and various cables.
