A.k.a. David C. Johnson

American flautist, composer and pioneer in the developement of electronic music, born 30. Januar 1940 in Batavia, New York. After his collaborations with Karlheinz Stockhausen and the early Can in the 1960s he co-founded the Feedback Studio, Köln in 1970 together with Johannes G. Fritsch and Rolf Gehlhaar. He later relocated to Basel where he until 1984 was head of the Elektronisches Studio Basel.
