A Native New Yorker, David Padilla brings more than 20 years of music expertise to the underground music culture and is one of the purveyors of the Miami electronica sound explosion. In 1989 his career took him to Miami's South Beach where he began his 9-year reign as the resident DJ for the famous Warsaw Ballroom. His next trend-setting venture was The Mix After Hours where he revolutionized the late night music scene in Miami. His diverse, marathon sets received national recognition and contributed to the identification of Miami being the dance capitol of the country. He is regarded as a major influence in the presentation and acceptance of future music trends. He is currently a resident at the Kremlin in Amsterdam, Shadow Lounge-Miami Beach, Area 51 in Texas, and continues to perform guest appearances at top nightclubs around the world. His signature thunderous sets act as proverbial assaults that attack the crowd and leave an immutable message in the minds of his cult following to come back for more, making him one of the most sought after DJs in America. His accolades include numerous awards for his efforts and industry contributions. He has been awarded the Best DJ for the Winter Music Conference, Miami Metro Area. For three consecutive years Padilla held the title The New Times Best DJ. South Florida Magazine also recognized him as Best DJ. David Padilla is also a premier sound engineer and consultant having installed some of the biggest and most impressive sound systems in clubs throughout the United States. David has contracted with major US record labels to produce several compilations, including the recently released David Padilla, The South Beach Experience and two others, which have yet to be announced. The Mix Live After Hours Double Set CD by David Padilla has sold more than 40,000 copies to date. He continues to play at some of the hottest spots in the world having played alongside such legendary influences as Oakenfold, Tiesto, Taucher, Talla, Dumond, Marc et Claude, Kaycee, Dimitri from Amsterdam, DJ Jean and David Morales.
