South African bassist, mostly known as an ex-Radio Rat where he was assigned the nickname "Herbie" by fellow rat Dave Davies (4) "because he didn't want a band with two Daves". Mr. Parkin has since moved to Sweden where he formed "Herbie Parkin & the Quiet Life" (two CDs released between 1991 and 2005) and plays with other projects named "Padded Room", "The Lasse Forsberg Band", and "Tuckers Lilla Kapell".
