Album US 2002 on Celestial Harmonies label
Electronic (Ambient)
Notes by David Parsons: This music combines recordings of chants that we collected in various temples in Bodh Gaya, Dharamsala, and New Zealand, with music. It is a sonic impression of Buddhism in the 21st century as it has grown in the West, where it seems to me that an amalgam of all sects is evolving. This music was originally inspired by, and composed for, the Art Gallery of New Wales, Sydney, Australia, exhibition "Buddha: Radiant Awakening" which opened in November 2001. Sample Sources: Dip Tse Chok Ling Monastery (Dharamsala, India) Namgyal Monastery (Dharamsala, India) Indosan Nipponji Temple (Bodh Gaya, India) Thai Wat (Bodh Gaya, India) Theravada Monastery (Stokes Valley, New Zealand) Front cover illustration: Maitreya, gilt bronze, China, Yuan Dynasty (14th Century), Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Total Time: 61:56 (P) 2002 Celestial Harmonies Manufactured and printed on recycled paper in Germany.
