Album UK 2015 on Linear Obsessional Recordings label
Electronic and Spoken Word (Experimental)

A Limited numbered edition of 20 CDr with notes. On September of 2014 I was commissioned to compose a short piece to be presented in the Pantelimon tower, a large cylindrical structure in Bucharest Rumania that is used today as a place to exhibit art works. I composed a five-minute piece with cyclic and fluctuating intensity that looks to create powerful resonance on any space. During the production of the piece I listened to it in a loop for hours and noticed how it affected certain objects in my house like the windows and doors that vibrated against their frames during the louder peaks of the piece. On this process I also noticed that actual repetition is an impossible, no matter if I was listening to the same loop over and over it never sounded the same because the physical and emotional context where I was listening to it was in constant change. More than in any piece that I ever composed, the space where this composition is projected and the objects found in there, become instrumental in the process similar to what happens with an installation just that the listener / player activates and deactivates it in its own home or listening space. Sound as a physical phenomenon can be explained as the rarefaction and compression of particles in an object where pressure waves propagates. A listened sound in the other hand, might be easier to explain citing emotions or evoking visual representations. In what way the eardrums picking up vibration connect with the emotions that a certain sound could induce in the listener? I work with low frequencies in part because it leads me to question about the space and the things that surround me and about their acoustic and emotional potency. Sometimes I like to think that deep and grave sounds open a window to the lonely universe of objects where the resonating body vibrates unaware of the person that inhabits it. "If men ceased to exist sound would continue to travel and heavy bodies fall to the earth in exactly the same way, though...there would be no one to know it." - Roy Bhaskar "(things) last beyond our forgetfulness, they won't know when we are gone." -Jorge Luis Borges
