A.k.a. David Mahr
Technology and music has always fascinated me. When my father played Tomita’s “Ballet of the Chicks in Their Shells” from the Pictures at an Exhibition album during a road trip, I was intrigued. The way that man bent synthesizers to his will in such a complex classical score had me hooked. Later, the 80s brought it home. It was Bronski Beat, Thompson Twins, Yazoo and Erasure that pushed me to start making music of my own. And so I did, with lots of help: Solitude, No Drama!, Lost & Found, Only You, Don’t Hold Your Breath, Mission Impossible, Right By Your Side, and most recently, Relentless. Is it davidmahr or David Mahr or Agency-X? All three, I’m afraid. Lars and I stay in touch, and davidmahr-one-word-lower-case was fun for a while, but now it’s just a search engine puzzler – the results are never in sync, try it and see. And the future? My new CD, IMPOSTER, has arrived.
