A.k.a. Still Creek Still Creek Band
Youngstown, Ohio 1967-9. The founder and leader of this teen band was Chris Rochow, previously with the Wild Breed. For most of the band's history Jim Gustafson was the lead guitar player, later with Biggy Ratt and Poobah. In early 1968 they recorded a 45 at WAM/United Audio, a nice soulish original called "What Can I Do" that includes a rippin' lead guitar solo by Gustafson, with the soul standard "Knock On Wood" as the flip. The horn players heard on the record were not part of the band.
