De Mange Machine was born in 1999 with " La Névrose de Mr untel ". Mostly influenced by Nurse With Wound, Illusion Of Safety and Hirsche Nicht Aufs Sofa’ surrealist collages, and the unique atmospheres of Zoviet France, The Hafler Trio, Whitehouse, Coil’s albums. Bands characterised by an unlimited freedom of creation. De Mange Machine uniqueness rests on in the simplicity and essence of the elements. His universe is built on a great variety of sounds coming from electronic generators as well as various items. The sound produced by these everyday objects become much more expressive than any traditional instrument. “Conscience ou le règne de l’animal malade” is an introspective journey inside the brain, an underground exploration in the form of a kaleidoscope of experiences memories, pain, and pleasures, discoveries and unanswered questions. Emotions are not considered here at all - they are replaced by sensorial stimulation. restricted to there very essence, this is a timeless album, arising from a blinding, arrhythmic labyrinth of beauty. Demange Machine’s work is thus a reflection of our lives in turns beautiful or monstrous, but always complex, paradoxical.
