Dutch schlager band. They started in 1924 under the name "The Happy Band" with Engel and Arend Paap on the accordion, Lou Boumeester on alto saxophone and Henk v.d. Bogaart on drums. Later the name was changed to "De Zandvoortse Vissers", which means "The Fisherman of Zandvoort". Since 1932, they perform as an accordion-duo, formed by Engel Paap and Gerard Nijkamp on the beach of Zandvoort, dressed in thee same traditional costumes as their fathers and grandfathers were wearing.
