Deadman is an indie-rock power trio based in Madrid, Spain. Although based in Spain, Deadman is an expat band, comprising two Englishmen and a powerful Peruvian drummer. Our influences are many and diverse – ranging from the darkness of Bauhaus to the refinement and elegance of Radiohead, all this via the ingenuity of Ash and the dirty punk of the Pixies. We pride ourselves on our contagious rhythm section, hypnotic guitar solos and deeply personal lyrics. We write and perform dark, brooding and intense songs, full of barely contained rage and principally about death - the death of love, the death of hate, the death of innocence and the living deaths of resignation and addiction. These sombre tunes create a pathway to a melancholy abyss. Deadman is a journey to unknown shores – that at the same time seem very familiar.
