WHO is The LEGEND you ASK? DEAJI is pronounced (De-ah-zhee) DEAJI is one of Michigan’s most anticipated artists in history. Formally a member of Imperial Blew Back Records (263), he started his run to the top back in 1991, then known as 2face. He was performing in local clubs before he was legally able to be in them. The true legend began in 1996 when the death of his brother birthed the man known as DEAJI THE LEGEND. DEAJI recorded and performed all over the country at various music seminars, club dates, as well as for BET; all without ever releasing an album. One of Flint’s finest lyricists and producers, DEAJI has worked with artists such as Yuckmouth (Rap-a-lot Records), Big Zack (Sho Nuff Records), Tone (Treasure Entertainment), Teiko, Skanbino Mob (Tommy Boy), Scurvy, Psyco Child, Bullpen Records (Andre Rison) as well as countless other local artists. DEAJI also was voted number one with the internet company Broadjam, in such areas as best rap, best in the nation, and best on Earth in Hip Hop and Rap for two months. His musical influences include Jay Z, Outkast, Rakim, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Stevie Wonder, Maze, Frankie Beverly, Prince, and Teena Marie, just to name a few. DEAJI describes himself as a true fan of the art of music. He says “true music is more than a part of life; it’s a part of the soul”, and he is ready to share his soul with the world. So, if you are ready to find out what has been missing in hip hop, look no further. The truth is here, DEAJI THE LEGEND ...
