Dean Ormston is a british born comic book artist. He earned a degree in art and illustration at Leeds University sometime around the mid-1980s. For the following few years he spent his time between playing the drums in various bands, some of which released singles and compilation album tracks (The Silent Scream, The Second Coming, This Colossal Youth) and working part-time in a Sheffield comic-book shop with fellow budding artists. Sometime in 1990 he moved into working full-time as an artist . Around 2011 he founded the The Black Lamps with fellow members have played their part in many celebrated bands throughout the previous three decades including Creatures of Habit, The Danse Society, Party Day, The Second Coming, Silent Scream and This Colossal Youth. But his main goal is working as an artist painter and illustrator for comics and recently as a designer for a TV movie.
