Def.Con.Sound.System started in September 1995 in Toronto, Canada. Over the past 20 years years musician Adam Sewell has used the name 'Def Con Sound System' as a catch-all band name for various musical projects and crazy ideas. Things like soundtracks, the odd one-off live project, and even at one point a short lived full-on touring band. In 2011, Def Con Sound System released the one-off single ‘Pistol Whipped’. A Clash / spy soundtrack sounding hybrid tune that hinted at where D.C.S.S. was headed. D.C.S.S. has now matured into a unique musical entity. Mixing 60’s spy soundtracks, and punk and dub basslines, and all propped up by dark soul rhythms and modern studio chaos. Sewell is currently working on a full length Def Con Sound System album titled ‘Silver Bullets’ - with hopes to release the album by summer 2017 on his Stereo Dynamite Recordings label Band members: Adam Sewell The Def Con Massive: Paul Meyers Justin McWilliams Pat Ferrigan
