Проект был основан Михаилом Шкарупеловым - музыкантом и композитором из Краснодара. Изначально Михаил планировал выступать и работать соло, но после нескольких dj-сетов на ранних этапах становления Define Unit как проекта, он решил всё-таки собрать команду для живых выступлений. В звучании его творчества чётко прослеживаются влияния «олдскульных» электронных и рок музыкантов, таких как The Prodigy и Limp Bizkit, но при это материал остается уникальным и по-настоящему цепляющим.
