The new CD was recorded live in the studio and are like "No overdubs" a fairly accurate picture of how they sound live. It has many able to hear in recent days at the recently held Copenhagen Blues Festival. Renewal will find elsewhere. Fortunately, this is back-to-basics blues-rock. The plate contains well enough two new and good Troels Jensen numbers, but otherwise it's traditional blues in traditional events. Jorgen Along "Surely Blues" here I heard the better version, and even guest singer Miriam Mandipira sings excellently on "Wang Dang Doodle", then back no little "loose". But it perfect or refined expression would not fit in this kind of music and this kind of release. Here it is uncomplicated and raw blues presented and therefore both the CD and the group's performances is highly recommended. With their staying power and force can Delta Blues Band probably continue for many more years. My Delta Blues & Boogie Band LP from that time are unfortunately worn down (it is otherwise sold as collector's item about 2.000, DKK - kr.).
