FROM: Gainesville, FL Emerging from the swamp of Gainesville, FL, comes a band called Demo. Channeling an array of influences that run the gamut from Joy Division to The Wipers to Sonic Youth, Demo’s songs cover a broad spectrum of musical territory with shrieking guitars, and thunderclap rhythms that move and shake. Singer Robin Joiner recalls a PJ Harvey-meets-Kim Deal inspired vocal, keeping the listener on edge even in the more intimate moments.
