Dena was born in Panama City, FL, but raised in Alabama and other South Eastern states. In 2002, she moved from Atlanta, GA to Los Angeles, CA. and still considers herself a Georgia Peach. She became interested in music at a young age and joined choir in junior high. By high school she was classically and operatically trained. She won three state choir championships in high school. She knew music was in her blood. She started dancing at two and a half! And she never stopped. She was in a dance company for five years. Ballet and modern. Soon she came to love street dancing and combined the two. She thought she was original, but was pleasantly surprised when she joined the club/rave scene in Florida in the early nineties. She fell in love with Break Beats and Trance. She worked the circuit scene as a dancer for a few years, traveling up and down the East coast when the idea came to her that it was her place in the world to make her own music and sing and dance as long as she could. Dance Zone Productions did production work on her acclaimed trance track "Never Gonna Let You Go."
