Jazz (Free Improvisation, Free Jazz)
The concept used in this music is known as Intuitive Improvisational Swing. Much of it is related to jazz but more of it comes from the transcendent, earthy melodies of the Third World. Among the most outstanding influences on my music are the music of China, the music of India, American March Music, Bebop, the tunes of birds, and the sounds of nature. By listening carefully, you may be surprised to hear yourself! Most of the instruments on this album I have never played before (as you can tell), but I feel that as a musician-as opposed to technician-I must always try to express my inner voices, which are always singing for the Eternal Lord. Most of these songs are sketches, but I felt the necessity of documenting this period of time in my life. This is dedicated to Carol....
