Dennis Gregory's album, DAYBREAK, is the debut release from Malolo Records. Denny G, as Dennis is known from his appearances on Big Island cable access television, is a modern day troubadour reminiscent of Bob Dylan and Jimmy Buffet with a vocal quality that has shades of Don Williams and Willie Nelson. Denny G writes in the tradition of folk music, but peppers songs with bluesy or country sensibilities. The 14 original tracks that make up the DAYBREAK listening experience represent "a shining dawn for your heart and soul." Engineered and poduced by John Malcolm Smith, the basic guitar and vocal tracks were recorded on location at The Shire in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii - with more songs and additional guitar parts from Johnny Sunshine added later at Rock Garden in Kealakekua, Hawaii.
