A.k.a. S.U.M.P.
Founded in 1989 as S.U.M.P. by Bela B., Atze Ludwig, Michael Beckmann & Rod González, they changed their name in 1990 to Depp Jones (Bela B. found the new name in the Lucky Luke comic "The Daltons in the Blizzard"). While they recorded the 1990 album ¡Return To Caramba! Atze Ludwig left the band. Olaf Kobold joined the band and in this constellation they finshed that album and recorded in 1991 Welcome To Hell. Michael Beckmann left the band in 1992 and was replaced by Peter Sonntag, in this new constellation they recorded then At 2012 A.D.. The band disbanded after the record contract expired late 1992. Soon after Bela B. and Farin Urlaub reformed Die Ärzte with Rod González as third member.
