Dex Dex Ter was a band from England formed in late 1994 when Xavior Roide (Xav) applied to an ad in Melody Maker looking for a singer. The lineup from the beginning was Xavior on vocals, Even on keyboards, Gjeih on guitar, and Gage on bass. The band were named, by Xavior, after the character from the soap opera Dynasty, Dex Dexter (lover of Alexis Colby) in reference to Duran Duran taking their name from a character in the film Barbarella. Rehearsing throughout 1995 they began to play a series of gigs within the London area.
