A.k.a. Dexter Johnson
Tenor saxophonist. Dexter Johnson was popular in 1960's Dakar. In the 1970's Johnson moved to Abidjan, Ivory Coast where worked for the record label Disco Stock. He later traveled to the U.S. where he recorded with Juan Carlos Torres and Monte Adentro. With Manu Dibango he shaped the Ivory Radio and Television Orchestra. Born in Nigeria, Dexter Johnson died in 1977.
