Artist Portrait

Dick Kunc

Recording engineer who had just started working at the Apostolic Studios when Frank Zappa started recording there in the 1960s. The Dick Kunc Story is told in his own words on The Lost Episodes. Apart from his usual studio duties, Kunc was also an early innovative field-recording engineer for Zappa in the very late '60s, utilizing a Uher tape machine & briefcase-mounted Shure mixer at The Magic Band House and also on Sunset Strip for An Evening With Wild Man Fischer.
