A.k.a. Hendrikus Magdalenus (Dick) Bruna

Dutch illustrator, graphic designer and writer of childrens books (August 23, 1927 - February 16, 2017, Utrecht). Most famous for "Nijntje", known as "Miffy" in English. Author and illustrator of 124 picture books, Bruna's career spanned 60 years. First published in 1955, the Miffy stories are now published in more than 50 languages, and have sold over 85 million copies worldwide.
