British jazz clarinetist (B Flat and E Flat), bass clarinetist and saxophonist. Born : May 19, 1936 in Keythorpe Hall, Tugby, Leichestershire, England. After playing for two years with Les Devotees moved to New Orleans from 1966 to 1968 where he played with "Olympia Brass Band" and the quartet of trumpeter Clive Wilson. Returning to England he worked with Harold Dejan, Mike Casimir, and the "Paragon Brass Band", Alvin Alcorn, Albert Nicholas, Al Casey, Teddy Johnson, Ray Smith, Chris Barber and many others.
