Born in Springfield Mass. Dick Strout served in the navy before arriving in Hollywood. Strout's TV shows and three-minute interviews with movie personalities were taped at KTLA studios from 1975. His series of 'Hollywood Profiles' was syndicated across America and sometimes made it onto vinyl for use on radio stations. He died aged 47 in 1978. His last ever interview was with Janet Leigh.
