Born: 27th 1927 Leeds, England Died: 23rd June 2009 Leeds, England British jazz trumpeter, flugelhornist, hornist (tenor), cellist, bassist, tuba player and educator. In 1968, as lecturer, he helped institute Europe's first full-time jazz course at the City of Leeds College of Music and retired in 1993.
