A.k.a. Dicy Rocha

Dicy is one of the new expressions of the contemporary music produced in Maranhão. Maranhense of Coroatá, grew up in Imperatriz where she began his musical history as a member of "Flor de Cactus", a musical project formed by singers Jovinha Rocha and Helyne Jully. She participated in music festivals, thus conquering space in the music scene in Maranhão: "Festival Caneleiros de Música da Terra" (Prize of best performer and 3rd place in the prize of best music), "FABER- Festival Aberto Balneário Estância do Recreio" (Prize of Revelation). Already in the capital São Luis was awarded 1st Place in the 11th "Festival Universitário de Reggae" - UNIREGGAE, with the song "Lavadeira" and 1st place "III Festival João do Vale de Música Popular" in 2008 with the song "Redemoinhos". 2nd place in the 12th "Festival Universitário de Reggae with the song "Baixada" by Joaquin Ferreira.
