Singer of Pop
Diego Varagić is one of the most popular Yugoslav singers from the 1960s. He was born on the 12th of May, 1942 in Čajniče, Bosnia & Herzegovina. As a child he moved to Serbia, where he began his artistic career at the age of 12 in a choir (KUD "Železničar"). In 1961 he took part in the famous Radio Belgrade show "Mikrofon je vaš". He studied English literature in Belgrade and after a rather short singing career continued working in his main profession as teacher and journalist in Belgrade. He has lived and worked in Italy since 1991.
