Composer. Born in Rumania, 1940. Studied with Franz Xaver Dressler from whom he learned the German tradition. He never embraced the avant-garde but rather developed a personal style of intelligibility and clarity without resorting to popularism. His catalogue contains over 100 works including six symphonies, concertos, and much chamber music.
