A.k.a. Alex Such&Such
Digital Ape is an American Producer and Dj that has been making music for many years, putting out some of his first productions on various Italian labels. Digital Ape set up and co-founded the labels Uvdog records in San Francisco, and Vinyl Did It in Barcelona, as well as the digital label Sur People with label partner DIA. They also recently set up Index, a label management company that takes care of a compact group of labels(also does the booking for some of its artists), and acts as their exclusive worldwide distributor. His sound can definitely be called techno. Having grown up in the Midwest and later lived for over 10 years in San Francisco, Digital Ape's music is deep, and housie, yet strong and driving with the power of techno, with groovy and percussive elements that show a strong influence of his latin roots.
