"In the latter part of 2011, local progressive metal outfit Distance Within decided to call it a day. It was sad news for many a metal fan of the Neath / Merthyr areas indeed! This here is a rough around the edges, live "as it was" recording of Distance Within's final performance ever, at the Oxjam event in Merthyr Tydfil's The New Crown Inn. With no sound board or mixing desk, the gig was recorded by hand using a Zoom H4n. This isn't really a testament to the band's musical ability; more an example of the wild, unhinged happenings that can only happen at a Distance Within gig. They will be sorely missed. PS - apologies for missing the first one and a half songs of the set, I've never used a fucking Zoom before!
