Dance (House)
RKS bring you the highly anticipated “Thug Girl” E.P from Bristol based electronic producer and DJ Distro. Originally from Birmingham, Distro is definitely on a rapid rise to the top with his energy bass fuelled dance floor anthems. Title track “Thug Girl” plays testament to the high energy of Distro from merely just the intro, with a rolling beat, slick claps and cool snare fills complimented by musical elements and vocal sample that leads into what can only be described as a monster bass line. The crisp punchy production keeps you entertained from start to finish as it moves in and out of various bass tones and patterns topped off nicely with the hooky use of vocal sample. “Deep Down” starts with more musicality but still breaths signs of a darker side with teasing gritty midrange bass licks before breaking down preparing you for an explosion of bass heavy wonderment. As with Thug Girl, this track moves seamlessly in and out of different bass tones and the use of rolling percussion and cool fills keep it fresh and entertaining.
