‘Ditto’ is the solo alias of Auckland, NZ producer/ DJ Tim Corin and since the early days has been threading his name into the local and international scene with his personal flavour of a deep, techy and groovy variety of underground house. Since showing face in 2010 Ditto was quickly embraced by labels and artists abroad for his releases and bootlegs, receiving shout outs and plays from major clubs and DJs around the world. His sound champions heavy basslines, groovy hooks and dynamic percusion that never cease to test club rigs and get feet moving. Since his first EP release Flat Belly Records, in 3 years his originals and remixes can be found on heavyweight labels such as Cr2, Vapour, Vicious, Sweat It Out!, Proton and numerous more. His remix of Colourblock - Stardust earned a front-page beatport.com feature his original and his original ‘Miscellany’ was featuring alongside artists Disclosure and Gorgon City on Vicious’s annual 2013 compilation. With half a dozen new works already signed for release in 2014, Ditto continues to gather momentum and acclaim. Ditto regularly performs at the major NZ dance events and festivals supporting countless international high profiles in the gaps. With his fluid 'story' like sets, he can comfortably rock a packed peak-hour club yet also enjoys grooving away to the troopers in the later morning hours. His sets are built on an ethos of performance, bringing with him his bag of tricks making use of live sampling, multi-channel mixing and dynamic effects. He also runs his own club night brands, including his lovechild 'Groovepool', a regular night acting as a showcase for new house talent from all around New Zealand. Tim Corin is also half of the alias ‘Terace’ alongside Australian based DJ Daniel Farley, seeing enormous success in the Australasian market as they regularly churn out chart topping tunes. Their recent EP ‘Halfway’ hovered at #11 in the Aria club charts for several weeks alongside the greats, and their recent remix of Motez ‘Own Up’ is #3 on the Triple J radio chart. Alongside his own work, Tim is involved with several other alias’s as he offers one-on-one electronic production training, engineering and mastering support from his studio under the moniker ‘Noise Therapy’.
