In 1998, TV network VH1 debuted their first annual "VH1 Divas Live" concert series. "VH1 Divas Live" was created to support the network's "Save The Music" foundation. The concert first aired on April 14, 1998. The concert was later edited and released as an Album and Home Video. Select performances were released as promotional Singles. The "Divas" ensemble consisted of: Céline Dion, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain, Mariah Carey, and Aretha Franklin, who was the honoree of the night. Carole King appeared as a special guest. Note: Only use "Divas (6)" for releases related to the first "VH1 Divas" ensemble from 1998.
