Russian cello player born in Moscow 1945. Moved to the Netherlands, with his wife and piano player Mila Baslawskaja, to the Netherlands in 1978. Is head teacher cello at Koninklijk Conservatorium, Den Haag and Conservatorium, Amsterdam. Father of violin player Liza Ferschtman.
