A.k.a. Mingo Saldivar
San Antonio, Texas Tejano accordionist and songwriter. Domingo “Mingo” Saldivar learned music from his father while growing up in Marion, Texas, near San Antonio. By age 11, he was playing the tololoche in dance halls in the area. In 1957, he began playing the diatonic button accordion in a popular group, Las Guadalupanos. That same year, he had his first hit song, “Andan Diciendo”.
