Don Harper (born 1921 in Melbourne, Australia; died May 30, 1999 in Australia) was a jazz violinist, violist and composer. He spent parts of his life in London, England where he wrote and composed music for several BBC television shows, including Dr. Who, Champion House, Sexton Blake and The Inside Man. He was the Music Director of "World of Sport" for 15 years. From 1983 to 1990 he held the position of Head of Jazz Studies at the Wollongong University's School of Creative Arts. He also conducted master classes at Trinity College, London, and at the Conservatorium in Brisbane.
