Piano, keyboard With Indian origins, Dondieu was born in 1968 in Avignon (France). From the age of 7, he has studied classical violin and piano and won the Price of Conservatoire d’Avignon. From the age of 19, he has been interested various musical styles from jazz to funk and African music. He played with African superstar Touré Kunda between 1993 and 1998 for whom he co-wrote and arranged the album Mouslaï in 1996. He also met with Cameroon drummer Brice Wassy and various other African artists. Add to this a consummate understanding of Indian sounds and rhythms, he played with Susheela Raman in 2001 on her debut album Salt Rain. He played with Paddy Kelly in 2012. As of 2014, He extensively played with French artist Brigitte Fontaine for whom he played and arranged albums Rue Saint Louis En L'île in 2002 & Libido in 2004. As of 2014, they still tour together. In 2014 he was also part of Indian fusion band Krishnas Templerock lead by Carnatic singer Krishna Kumar. Presently he is traveling between India and France, accompanying top music bands in both the countries. Dondieu is also the leader of the indian influence jazz fusion band Tâlam, the first album "Gandhi Road" was released in 2004.
