Single FR 2013 on Sirona-Records label
Electronic (Ambient, Noise)
Doom Pop. Guitar Improvisation. Free download. RTF, of Doomettes, helps run the small record label SP and was taking submissions for a large Harsh Noise Wall (HNW) compilation. All of the ads calling for tracks simply had the acronym HNW, without an explanation as to what it meant or the specific style of noise it referenced. Responding to these ads, Joel nobody submitted a demo version of "Tales From Shinebone Alley," at that time called "Tales Of Shinebone Alley" and featuring a much more stripped-down sound, without knowing what HNW was. Instead of simply rejecting "Tales..." for it being the wrong genre, however, RTF loved the track so much that he approached Joel about how best to release that song, and this split is the result. We hope you enjoy our happy accident. Every Doomettes release is dedicated to family, for there are too many to name individually, and W. Toupes, J. D'Entrone, C. D. Williamson, A. Barbe, and S. Phelps. "Be Tide Be" is specifically dedicated to B. A. "Jim" Trow, whom the sea took in July of 1988, and to all those we never had a chance to know. "Tales From Shinebone Alley" is dedicated to Wijittra Upati Switzer.
