Doomsday Apocalypse
Private Investigations Into The Life Of A Teenage Rock 'N' Roll Star

Album UK 2013 on DDA Records label
Electronic, Rock, Blues and Pop (Space Rock, Electric Blues, Ambient, Lo-Fi, Hard Rock, Classic Rock)

A 2013 Remake of the original album. This 2013 masterpiece goes through different genres, It was said to be inspired by blues, hard rock and electronic/Hip-hop music. These influences can clearly be found throughout the album. Conrad Winch, after the termination of the band, carried on the legacy by recording the songs again for a different audience. Conrad, being very young himself is a very skilled musician. Quotes from Conrad Bang Smash Wallop "When we were in the practise rooms it was all very simple, no massive amounts of production or effects... It was all basic and simple. I guess we weren't afraid to experiment... That was all we really did, experiment. We would say to each other "want to get a practise room?" and it all stemmed off from there. Doomsday Apocalypse was a name that was decided upon after a massive load of names were thrown out... The Severns, Custard Creams... etc. Doomsday Apocalypse came to me in a dream... I imagined people shouting it out and then i thought, woah... The meaning of the name is unknown to me and is more of a powerful term to describe the music... It's literal meaning would mean "The last day of the world, complete destruction". If you look deep enough into it, it would make sense... Doomsday is the term used to specify a day for the end of the world and the apocalypse is the end of the world. I've had to explain that theory countless times when it really is simple if you google it... Doomsday and apocalypse are not the same thing. One is a specified day or the final day while the apocalypse is the ending of the world. Our name describes a sequence of events." Hannah (Acoustic Version) 'When I released the albums (One Day and PI), I didn't want both containing the song 'Hannah'. So 2 years later I made two new versions. These were recorded on an android tablet and used very little music production. One was a piano version with vocals written over the top (recorded in Valencia) while the other was an acoustic version also using lyrics. The original intention for the song is quite embarrassing, so I won't mention it. People have asked me 'Why remake the song at all?' and I usually answer with 'I like the song and it's melody'. I used a lot more guitar, bass and even drum machines (instead of the usual drum kit) on private investigations (into the life of a teenage rock 'n' roll star). So naturally I put the acoustic version in that album and the piano version in One Day, which uses a lot more piano and has a lot more melancholy feeling to it.' I Know Who You Are "This song is very unusual given the type of music I usually make. It goes against what I usually do; replicating rhythm sections and live drum kits... This time I scrapped that and used a hip-hoppy drum machine to create this. I wanted to stay true to the original recording though so I put the guitar part and made it the bassline, creating a whole new part for the guitar. It sounds very boastful and a little bit ignorant, but I made the lyrics up as I went along... Something which I seem to have skill at doing... I just sung whatever came to me..."
