A.k.a. Dorothy Carr
b.: 1921 d.: 2011 British singer, elder sister of fellow singers Pearl Carr and Carole Carr. Initially a pianist, in 1937 she auditioned for Ray Noble, who asked her to sing instead. She later became a vocalist with Harry Roy then Geraldo And His Orchestra from 1940 to 1947, after which she had a considerable career in the USA.
