Romanian musician, iwho was nicknamed the ''Orchestra Man''. Born on March 5,1957 - died on October 6, 2003 around 17:00, of heart attack. Petre Căplescu, his father was trumpetist in Orchestra De Estradă A Radioteleviziunii. Attended the School of Music IV no. 3 of Bucharest, where he studied piano. At the advice of his father, Doru Caplescu attended the Music High School in Bucharest (classes VI-XII), from which he graduated in 1976. Since 1975, Entertainment Doru Căplescu begin to work with Orchestra De Estradă A Radioteleviziunii. 197, debuted on a single album, with Adina Dumitriu, realizing orchestration and piano accompaniment. 1976-1977, he worked with band "Unit 1708", specialized in covers. 1977-1978, during military service Doina collaborated with Ansamblul Artistic „Doina” al Armatei 1978-1982, attending the Conservatory "Porumbescu" of Bucharest, Department of "Trumpet. As a student, Caplescu was part of the Jazz Orchestra of the Conservatory "Porumbescu". 1978-1984, was part of the band Cristal (6) as trumpetist. 1980-1982, was also part of the band Basorelief in parallel with the group Cristal (6) . 1982, has worked with the Symphony Orchestra of Bacău. 1983 was part of the band Star 2000 (2). 1983-1985, was part of the team of the brass band Alexander Wilmany. 1985, toured in Kuwait, with the band Romanticii. Romanticii was improvised as Mircea Drăgan, band leader, did not get a visa to leave the country. 1985-1988, was part of the band Electric Cord (trumpet, keyboards, vocals) 1986-1987, was part of the band Romanticii. On January 1, 1988 left the band and was replaced as lead singer by Marius Voicu. 1986-1987, collaborated jazz with orchestra led by Marius Popp. As a musician (trumpet, keyboards and synthesizer, arranger, orchestrator) has participated in albums of important Romanian artists. With the great success of the albums and songs that worked, became a pioneer of electronic music. 1992-1995, was part of the band Sfinx Experience. 1995, disappointed the music situation in Romania, immigrated to the Netherlands, where it is established in The Hague. 1997, founded “Blue Fish Music”, a music programming company, based in The Hague. 1999, made ​​jingles for TVR.
