The Double Mountain Boys, Lipan, Texas Bluegrass music group, formed in 1960. The group took its name from the Double Mountains; Noel Ownbey suggested the name for the group. Original members of the group were Joe Bass, Noel Ownbey, Charles Stewart, David Addison, Jeff Miller, and Bill Northcutt. Kenneth Addison joined the group when he returned from the service. Several people were a part of the group during subsequent years including Johnny Lucky and Tommy Hughes. The group recorded seventeen albums from 1960-2009. Noel Ownbey, Charles Stewart, and Kenneth Addison are deceased. Members of the group in 2009 included Joe Bass, Slick Gilmore, Jimmy Walker, and Jerry Watts.
