Battalion Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, The Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and The Royal Army Service Corps), before being appointed Director of Music, Coldstream Guards in 1944, a position he held until 1962, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, and Senior Director of Music, Guards Division
